In my business background, I watched company after company use writing that confused customers, had various grammar errors, and was difficult for customers to read. This writing made customers not trust these companies, think the companies had poor quality or poor customer service, and search for another company to purchase from.

I also saw that writers and businesses were isolated from each other. The resources to solve this problem existed, but the gap between business and writing remained.
